Ford YB 2.5 up to 3.0 litre

  • Engine built from New Alloy custom Motorsport Head and Block Castings
  • Slipper Race Pistons Steel Con Rods Steel Crankshaft 88mm stroke
  • Lightweight Flywheel to suit 7 1/4" clutch(clutch not included) & Flywheel bolts
  • New Dry Sump system with pump, trigger pulley and crank position sensor
  • KGP CNC race head and KGP inlet manifold fully ported and matched, new valve seats and bronze guides to suit, KGP intake and exhaust valves, spring retainers, solid lifters, light weight buckets.
  • KGP double valve springs and steel retainers
  • KGP Billet camshafts and vernier pulleys
  • Tapper throttle bodies with Billet intake manifold, 4x Billet full radius trumpets, fuel rail, twin throttle linkage, " 2 channel throttle position sensor, air and water temp sensor, injectors, Back plate and air filter.
  • DTA S60 ECU, Custom made loom and coil on plug
    Stainless steel exhaust manifold to suit 70mm system
    These engines can be built in 2.5, 2.6, 2.7 and 3.0 litre versions

This engine in 2.5 litre version produce up to 360bhp & 252lbft

Rolling Road

Rolling Road

Our rolling road is a 2-wheel-drive Sun Ram 12 with a TAT Software System.  Our rolling road is used in two ways, steady state mode for mapping and also in acceleration mode which allows the computer to produce repeatable power curves.  The rolling road measures a maximum of 500bhp. If necessary these figures can be doubled but any engine making over 500bhp will have traction problems.  The software logs the power output at 1mph intervals and can measure the power losses through the transmission and tyres using a coast-down test.  The results can be plotted and extracted for further analysis.  Comparison graphs can be produced between several runs and these assist the operator when making adjustments to the engine.  As well as the traditional analogue dials, the rolling road has a digital read-out which is used heavily when mapping.
